The DK0CG-Story




Detailed reports in German language only because the wordplay will be lost in translation - sorry. In case of this just a few important milestones:

- January 2012: DK0CG says good bye! After more than seven years of contest activities, more than 20.000 qsos with 6.000.000 points the cadre of DK0CG decided to start something new. We look back on seven years of contesting, storm and sunshine, face-to-face contacts an tell you our mood with the words of the great Edith Piaf: Non, je ne regrette rien. We do not regret anything! All activities under the call DK0CG are no longer our duty from now on. But don`t be afraid, our target is still VHF-UHF-SHF-contesting. So listen to the bands and get ready for the contest-season 2012 and sure you will hear us calling cq contest cq contest..... 73s from Herbert-DG2NMH, Alex-DG8AM, Wolfgang-DJ7AT, Peter-DK5RAX, Thomas-DL3NGN and Thomas-DL3NCS.

- Dezember 2011: 4. place in the DARC VHF-UHF-SHF Contest-Cup 2011 an a very good second place in the german ranking of the Marconi-Memorial-Contest.

- November 2011: Again qrv from JO61JF together with the DF0MTL-Crew. A very good report can be found on Pit´s website.

- September 2011: DK0CG from JO61JF. Having a lot of radio-fun together with the DF0MTL crew. Thanks to DF0MTL.

- August 2011: Seven years DK0CG

- July 2011: Three OPs from DF0MTL join us for this contest. Using their 8x6ele antennasystem.

- December 2010: DK0CG on the 7. place in the DARC VHF-UHF-SHF Contest-Cup 2010.

- Oktober 2010: Online log search is available. Just search your call.

- Oktober 2010: Very first QSO on 6cm. DK0CG is now QRV on all Bands from 144MHz  to 10GHz

- August 2010:  Six years DK0CG. Happy Birthday!

- March 2010: A lot of snow,  ice, wind and 15°C below at night, but DK0CG is qrv from JN59RJ on all bands.

- December 2009:  6. place of 215 participants in the DARC VHF-UHF-SHF Contest-Cup 2009.

- October 2009: Made over 1000km on 70cm.

- June 2009: First participation in the DARC-SHF-Contest. 23cm, 13cm, 9cm and 3cm were on the air.

- October 2008: 5 bands were activated. Very first QSOs on 9cm and 3cm.

- March 2008: Operation during the disastrous storm "Emma". No antenna or mast crashed!

- November 2007: Made over 1000km on two meters.

- October 2007: 4x19ele for 70cm crashed while setup. Replaced half an hour later with two "sticky tape"-Yagis.

- Mai 2007: 12m mast for the 70cm-system. (a copy of system that we use on 2m) Parabolic dish for 23 and 13cm. Very first QSOs on 13cm.

- November 2006: Wolfgang, DJ7AT joined DK0CG.

- September 2006: Herbert, DG2NMH joined our team.

- Mai 2006: More antenne-performance with 3x11ele Yagi mounted on a 40mm (~1 1/2Inch), 12m (~40 feet) mast. Rotator mounted on the ground.

- March 2006: In case off 2 feet snow in JN59RJ we were invited from Harry, DL6NBC to use the DL0NF-Shack in JN59PL. Thanks Harry.

- Since July 2005: The QTH is JN59RJ.

- March and May 2005: DK0CG in the DARC VHF/UHF/SHF-Contest from JN59RT.

- November 2004: Marconi memorial contest. Used call: DL3NGN/p, also from JN59RT.

- October 2004: First participation in the IARU-UHF/SHF-Contest. DK0CG first time on air. The QTH is JN59RT.

- September 2004: The new call is DK0CG.

- September 2004: First participation in the IARU-VHF-Contest from JN59RT. Used call: DK0NY.

- April 2004: The whichever DK0CG-Crew is founded in the back room of an Hellenic restaurant.
